The unnamable is the eternally real. Naming is the origin of all particular things.
Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source. Returning to the source is serenity.
If you don't realize the source, you stumble in confusion and sorrow. When you realize where you come from, you naturally become tolerant.
It is the Mother of all things under heaven. I do not know its name, but I call it Tao.
It is owing to their wonder that men both now begin and at first began to philosophize.
The mind is quieted by tracing every ripple back to its origin.
Everything comes from the cosmos, exists in the cosmos, and returns to the cosmos.
